Preventing deck stains caused by potted plants

When a potted plant sits directly on your deck or floor surface, then over time it will lead to stains. This is mainly because the moisture gets accumulated underneath the pot, which will wash away the varnish, and can leave a dark, permanent stain. These stains can be easily prevented by placing the pots on a raised platform.
This raised platform will ensure optimal air flow underneath the pot and will ensure that the varnish stays dry. These stands should have rubber footings to keep it stable and to avoid any damage. This stain should be porous and should allow the pot to drain freely. If the water cannot drain, then it will stagnate and will stink as well.
There are a number of types of potted plant stands available in the markets. Apart from the plant stands, you should also choose the right kind of pot as well. There are a number of different materials that are preferred to make plant pots, including clay, polymer etc. Polymer potted plants are quite sturdy and rigid and do not stain as easily as clay pots, hence they are preferred in most cases.
